Question New!: $600 Gaming PC Build: Good?

Sorry for starting a whole new thread, it's just I got a lot of new recommendations!

I was thinking about getting the cheapest i5 at 179.99 that is an ivy core, but it's not even worth it because it looks like it'll be crappy. If I just get this CPU and Motherboard right now can't I just upgrade later to like an i7 if I get money

    - EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P4-2652-KR GeForce GTX 650 (Btw, Does this have an HDMI output?)
    - Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (Comes with earbuds on newegg)
    - Western Digital WD Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
    - Foxconn A9DA AM3 AMD 890GX SATA 6Gb/s HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
    - AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX
    - LITE-ON Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model iHDS118-04 - OEM
    - CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
    - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3

I know that I can upgrade RAM, Videocard and Motherboard + CPU later but what should I upgrade to. This has a grandtotal of $543.99. Is there anything I can get better of these items because I have like $60 left and I know how to get free shipping?

About that HDMI thing, it does come with it, but I go with DVI. And for the love of god please don't get a 650, you should save up a little more money and just get a 650 Ti. The price difference is tiny compared to the performance you'll get out of upgrading to a 650 Ti.

If you plan on upgrading your CPU later, keep in mind you will not be able to get an Intel chip, as that is an AMD board. And the Phenom 2 X4 I probably still one of the most safe AMD chips around, good power for good price. So upgrading will probably not be necessary until you are ready to give your PC a new overhaul.

You dont need 8 GB of RAM, but its kinda moot given how damn cheap kits are atm, so 8GB probably wont even be much more (sometimes less) than 4GB kits.

Get an F3 spinpoint drive instead of the Caviar Blue. Caviar blacks are better than Blues anyways, but I love my F3's, have proven to have slightly better benchmarks, and you can get 1TB drives on newegg for like $69 last I checked.

GPU, meh. If Im not mistaken (I may be, a little rusty on exact benchmarks) a GTX 480 would perform better. ATI cards like the 6950/70 are also in that price range and a good bit better. Even a 650 Ti is better, though maybe more expensive.

Other than that its fine, even though Foxconn boards still worry me.

Also keep in mind Haswell is coming soon so if I were you id wait, that case is a nice one, I have been running it for a long while, also for gaming Intel is far supierior to AMD, do not try to say diferently as the benchmarks clearly show it is true.

    Haswell
Haswell is the codename for a processor microarchitecture under development by Intel's Oregon team as the successor to the Ivy Bridge architecture.[1] Using the 22 nm process,[2] Intel is expected to release CPUs based on this microarchitecture around June 2, 2013 according to leaked roadmaps.[3]

    Haswell
Mmk, ty, I heard of it. Isn't it combing CPU, GPU and motherboard together or sumthing?

No, Haswell will be the same as Ivy Bridge with just a lot more integrated graphics performance.
If you dont care about integrated graphics then Ivy is fine.

Haswell processors are going to have a handful of new features, such as AVX 2.0 instructions, better GPU, overclocking improvements, integrated voltage regulator, new low-power states, just to name a few.

Stock CPU performance won't differ that much, if he's not going to overclock (he's paying $600 on computer, he'll probably just use the stock cooler) then Ivy is fine.

Quite true, just making sure hes open to all choices.
