How To Bypass 3.60 Update! (Go online with 3.56)

Hello members of MPGH. This is my first post, and I hope to bring more! In this Tutorial, I will show you step by step instructions on how to Bypass 3.60. This will enable you to sign into PSN while still on OFW 3.56.

Step 1:

First you must go to Internet Connection Settings. To do this go to Settings>Network Settings>Internet Connection Settings.

Step 2:

For this step, Instead of choosing Easy, scroll down to Custom. This allows you to enter your settings freely.

Step 3:

Now, when inside of the setting options, you have to scroll to the right until you find DNS Settings. It should look similar to the following:

DNS Settings

Automatic
Manual

You have to click on the word "Manual."

Step 4:

After entering the DNS Setting Options, you will see something of this nature:

Primary DNS: 0 . 0 . 0 . 0
Secondary DNS: 0 . 0 . 0 . 0

Here, you will change the numbers to exactly how you see it below:

Primary DNS: 67 . 202 . 81 . 137
Secondary DNS: 67 . 202 . 81 . 137

Step 5:

After entering the settings above, You have to scroll to the very end of the Setting process. It will show you a list of your settings, where you will then click 'x'. Please run a 'Connection Test' when asked.

Step 6:

After the Connection Test is complete. You are now able to sign into your PSN. I hope this worked the same for you as it did for me.

-Cries- I know that, But it will be done eventually. But still.. this will save time from the update itself. Which takes like 20min-40min Depending on the space left on the ps3

Im sure iv'e came across this post before.... Yes.... This is the same method as bypassing the 3.56 Update. And Many people have been warned because sony have been monitoring anyone who uses these dns servers.

I just wanna know if this trick actually works.

For some reason, my PS3 will not update to firmware version 3.60. It's running 3.56 OFW so it's not because I'm running CFW.

I just wanna be able to go online and collect some stuff from Gran Turismo 5, check my PMs etc... This whole 3.60 update getting stuck at 99% thing is p*ssing me off at the moment.
