Not necessarily, you just need to be more carefull internal.

There is no detection difference between the two, as long as you know what you are doing (not writing to wrong address etc).
Internal is generally a lot faster.

external, handle are easy to detect and if you're not coding efficiently your performance is fucked.

If you are coding internally and you are not coding efficiently then your performance gets fucked even more because you are directly slowing down the game.
