As the title says i was just banned playing casual trying to get to rank 3.

You get account untrusted mid game and then you get a VAC BAN on your account after 1-2 days!

You dont get untrusted/VAC for overwatch, it means the hack you were using got detected, and or wrote something to the game the game didn't like. (e.g invalid viewangles or smth)

This was introduced when they started to display Overwatch bans on Steam profiles. They are labeled as game bans and do not turn into VAC bans itself. Nothing has changed by that introduction, the Overwatch system was still the same, except for the report count/rules to get your demo into Overwatch.

If your account is Untrusted, you did something the game doesnt like, for example, changing ViewAngles to invalid angles or changing your Health. This is also a permanent ban, which will display as a game ban on your profile (afaik).

The message you get in game is different for each kind of ban.

If you get Overwatched, you get the message "Convicted by Overwatch - Majorly Disruptive" in red which is labeled as a game ban on your profile.
If you changed HP for example, it says "Your account is untrusted" or something similar to that (Don't know the message, never got my account untrusted) in red which is labeled as a game ban on your profile (as far as i know).
If you get VAC banned, the message is yellow and says that you are VAC banned which is labeled as a VAC ban on your profile. (Don't know the message, i never got banned by VAC).
If you get a griefing ban, you get the message "Convicted by Overwatch - Minorly Disruptive". However, this ban is not shown on your profile as it is not a permanent ban.
If you get banned for leaving a game, the message is yellow and isn't displayed on your profile either.

Overwatch bans/Untrusted bans do not turn into VAC bans. If you still get a VAC ban later, you got VAC banned for using a detected cheat. VALVe has analyzed the cheat you are using and flagged it as detected.
