Wow I'm going to remember this. That's actually really useful for CT's since I find T awpers do better awping on mid than CT's in the games I play.

No not really, its really matter of who is the fastest on getting on the spot, if CT spawn is good and ready to aim down on the spot where T should be then T will stand no chance than die.

I've actually found a new smoke on Inferno to smoke of Banana from B side without an issue, on the spot where T has to smoke off to block the CT away. It lands perfectly on the spot so T's can't rush to Banana, meaning it smokes of Banana ramp of T ramp.
