I had one last night, I was in control until I turned it into a nightmare and immediately woke up.

Yeah. Essentially you can do whatever the fuck you want, I just dicked around and messed with shit. (day to instant night, allahu akbar, etc)

Tips are: log everything in your dreams at first.

before you go to bed, try to set it so you'll remember that you're in a dream. Easiest way to do that is to think of a situation right before you go to sleep and then when you're asleep, if you dream of that, then you can potentially remember that you're in a dream. (Happened, got suspended for a week, my father said he would trash the computer if they weren't up (eyy 2strict5me) and when I dreamed, I immediately noticed a change when my father said "get your grades up bud, it'll be okay". I ended up recognizing that what the dream said and what my actual father said were two very different things, and ding, realized I was in a dream.
