Great thread. I've been procrastinating when it comes to messing around with Unity but maybe this will motivate me to try it out. Already had it downloaded from back when it was free for a while.
Okay, as title suggests I'm making this thread to help everyone and discuss about what's useful in Unity to make our lives easier making a game; hotkeys, useful functions for scripting, etc.

^ I don't know why this doesn't have all the hotkeys listed but an useful one I found was holding RMB + (directional keys) AWSD to zoom around the scene.

I have worked on two major Unity3D projects but at the time, we were very limited because we could not afford a pro licence so we gave up all together. But now it's different. Users can enjoy pro features for free. If only we had stuck to unity. It's futile as I don't game develop anymore, it's too stressful. https://forum.unity3d.com/threads/mar...rd-fps.214418/ That was one of my projects.

I worked for 1 project when I was on my Software Engineering class. And I could say. You need to gather all the designs first before you go to unity. (You need the graphics ex. 3d models and textures) And always always always back up your file so it won't mess up.
Is there any starter tips/tools/tutorials that you would suggest for someone who is going to be doing a 3D games dev course using Unity? Last year the course required the students to create an fps or racing game so maybe that will help with specific tips that you guys may have.
