the only possibility android devices have over ios is that you can install custom roms, anything else is not worth it

OT: Don't think this is a debate about which is better.
You have more possibilities with jailbreaking, rooting as many have said just gives you sudo / admin privileges. Also, i wouldn't buy a iPhone just to see how it is jailbroken, get a iPod and tinker with that, its much cheaper.

Oh shit, something just clicked in my head and said I am stupid for asking this question.

Last time I owned anything apple was in 7th grade and it was a 2nd gen ipod touch. When I jailbroke it I was able to get any app I wanted for free (Can do that on android by default), modify the default look of the ipod without downloading some 3rd party themer, and uhhh well tbh thats all I can remember. But the app you get when you jailbreak is called "Cydia" and it was FILLED with things you could download for your device.

If you Jailbreak an iPhone, you can totally customize everything much easier than Rooting. You can install custom themes and change icons, get free games with easy from Cydia, and just overall pretty much full customization. This includes changing your lock screen theme so you can get rid of everything but a background picture, changing your Service Connection to any picture, changing battery display, etc. Overall, Apple allows for much more customization.
Of course, this is pretty biased because I've never used an Android device (will change within the week :P), but from my experience with Jailbreaking, it's almost 100% customizable.
All the thinks you said is done without root on Android ...
I can't understand why people who don't use both of the OS's say something here...
People who say that iOS is easier to customize (visual only) never touched Android device.
For the people who said "free apps and shit" ...lel you remove your warranty for this? In Android you keep your warranty (because you don't need to root for free shit).
