Although justice is deserved the ban they recieved is far too harsh and theres a reason why.
Yes, indeed they did do match fixing and bassically stole money from others but in the laws of justice there are multiple sides to a crime one could have more involvement then the other and could recieve a far more punishment but in this case it was not resolved like this.
They were banned permanently. This is severely unfair because in no way previously did valve have any terms/saying that a user could not do this in a event or any where else where money was on the line. This has happend in MLB (Major League Baseball) too. There were no guidelines/rules established except for 'common sense' yet after the first instance of this happening the users are banned permanently without ever having a chance for it to be lifted. This is severely unfair on there part. Yes i do think they should be punished but they should be punished in a way that better benefits the community because these are actual good players aswell. example they could donate 50% of all winnings from anything to chairty.
Exactly and the semi/pro players who hacked are still able to play
