Yes, you are not getting an alert with simething like: "Activation succesfull".
Just go to the reward vendor in the BoO that is at the end and claim your stuff!

You can do this with TOR Browser (also 100% free) as well:
- open it
- go to uplay.com
- click the onion icon next to the address bar, it shows you the 'circuit' for your connection (it goes through serveral countries before getting to the website), what you want here is to have United States just above Internet (so it's what the internet sees as your location). To change the circuit open the onion icon menu and click 'new tor circuit for this site' until you get a circuit that has the United States above Internet

The only thing you need the VPN for is filling out the registration form, after that everything else (the email confirmation, entering the AGENTORIGINS code etc.) can be done in your normal browser

PS: open uplay before doing the route thing, opening a new tab will give you a new circuit just for that tab
