No, I do understand.
In order to give his password away he would have had to click on the link. When dealing with a buyer over that much money I would already be extremely cautious of tricks like that one.
As soon as I saw the link I would google what the link was (or whatever the fuck happened, because it required him to click on it) and then there would be no problem. Block the guy on skype, send a scam report and move on with life.

I think that is extremely true because I SE as well and recently in a BTC transaction i was putting 0.5$ as fees (for faster confirmation) but by mistake it got counted as 0.5 BTC (I forgot to switch to USD) and as a result sent 250$ as fees. x) Probably karma.
