When has the easy path ever worked. Do it right, or fail.
Yes I realize I'm posting this in MPGH General, but I'm extremely sleep deprived, just procrastinated the entire day, and confused.
My history teacher, specifically said something almost exactly like this, 1 week ago:
"All the questions in your final will all be from all the previous tests, including 100 fill in the blank, multiple choice (100 of them), and true and false (100 of them as well), and instead of an essay question, I'll be giving you an area and a date, and you'll take an atlas, and draw a map consisting of as many details as you can include. That'll be marked out of however many details the person with the most has (<-- THAT is just fucked up, he's been doing shit like that that all year)"
Now:
1. Yes this technically is easy as fuck, especially for the 10TH GRADE, and I like it, but the largest portion of all previous tests had been fill-in-the-blanks (no choice box), but he never actually stated that they (fill in the blanks) would be from previous tests also. So I'm not sure what to do, play it safe and bother to study the notes (he thinks the textbook is a piece of crap), or just take the easy path and just look at the old tests again (already did once)
2. I was confused about the map and asked if I should actually study what North America looked back then (1700's - 1800's), but he said "don't waste your time, just come, and use the atlas and try your best". I can't tell if the map's purpose is to test our map making skills (which we've been doing all year for different maps), or to test our knowledge of when such states/provinces joined and shit. Also for that, he's an underachiever as far as my experience goes, like, seriously, sometimes I think he LIKES lower marks better or something.
Can't decide what to do.
proper advice would be appreciated.

mmm... well...
but either THE point of one of the main points im trying to say here is, as the title says, he's a sneaky soab sometimes and he just might be lying about how all the questions are from previous tests.
oh btw if you couldn't understand what I meant, I know 95% of all the questions almost by heart, not from studying, from doing those tests which I hated so much, and humans remember things they hate quite well.
so if they really are old questions, studying is useless.
the map, well I just don't fucking know, he wasn't clear at all about it.
OH, and half the tests of all subjects in this semester, have been 50% EASIER than I'd ever expected. so the easy path would've worked at least half the time.
Expect for your teacher to pull a cheap shot. Its not their job to relieve you its their job to make sure you know the material.
I assume this is a level higher then regular?
I bet the map is just filling in major features (mountain ranges, straits, rivers, battle sites, capitals)

he's never really pulled a cheap shot before, and he knows I know the material. My science and this teacher have both actually stated, "You really know your stuff, so don't worry about it" at least on one occasion. and yes I've learned the hard way they don't relieve you.
sadly no this is not higher level, rather, the class average is 51%, and because this course is not provincially exam included, he left out half the shit in the textbook, and used his own notes for the chapters we did cover, not the chapters themselves.
@dw3fan: The grade in this class, well I hardly count it as a proper one, cause he marks all fucked up (ANOTHER THING THATS GAY, HIS MARKING TECHNIQUES), but if you want to know, it was 91% at beginning of semester, 105% midway, currently 96%. -_-
my average mark on his tests is like 92% or so, so I'm not really prospective about this one

i say just cram as fuckin much info of that map as u can and set dat curve. then just read w/e previous tests there were, and then review the notes. u cant completely trust teachers
I didn't even study for my SS final and it was E.Z. BUT O HAI UNLUCKY JETAMAY GOT THE ONLY HS10 TEACHER THAT DOES A FINAL. (Other classes replace the 20% with large projects.)
I need to sleep myself. GN
Notice I live in Vancouver.
It's actually supposed to be all about Canadian history, but my teacher thought it'd go well with the curriculum which he's making his own and put the American Revolution at the beginning.
Canadian history is boring as HELL
