    Exclamation Laptop Cleaning HELP :/

Hello there everyone So i have this laptop for about 2 years now. Hp pavillion g6 i think its called. So the past couple months it started making a sound and im sure it is the fan that is broken or something. Because i couldnt afford getting it to a technician i just ggave it to my dad so he can blow some dust from the side with some high pressure air and removed most of the dust. Still i had the same sound but lower tempreture(At the edge tho) . I always do one task at the time because if i do more it always crashes from high temp. And can i ask you if i can buy a fan and change it myself so it costs lower? And because im not familiar with laptop opening(I only worked with stable pc's and components) Could you guys give me some tips to what to be carefull about or a instructional video(I know im searching my self and watching right now some but you could have something better). I just need to get it fixed because now with the summer it gets to 90 degrees with only one tab of firefox open and its really bad. :/ Thanks alot

As I understand, temperature decreased only near the edge where the fan is at. Carefully open up your laptop (Look for a tutorial, it's pretty easy) and clean the dust. I suggest lowering the air pressure, or else some parts may break. You shouldn't have waited 2 years before the first clean, that's so long.
Getting a fan wouldn't make a huge difference either, with dust on both, the motherboard and the CPU nothing will change, and if you are having RAM issues or related, you will still experience those.

    > Clean off the dust
    > Give your laptop some space from beneath to allow air flow, and to avoid heating of fan(s) if any, and CPU.

Really depends on how many fans you have. It might all come down to a dust problem.
But if you clean the laptop and still experience heat problems, surely I'd suggest getting a cooling fan.

you have one of two options
    1) put it in a microwave for around 2:00
    2) Leave it on pavement when its 80 degrees+ for 2 hours

You can change the fan yourself, all fans use the same connectors AFAIK. Just be sure to make sure it is the same thing before you buy a replacement fan. The fan is most likely fine, the best scenario IMO is to clean the heatsink attached to the CPU, you might have to disconnect it and re apply thermal grease which isn't hard. It's mostly a 30 minute job. You don't need a technician.
