No question about it, I can see paying reasonable prices for some virtual goods like maybe $5. But if you're spending hundreds or thousands on a Camo it's a sign of mental incapabilities.

That's not the same thing. I've made over $30,000 on MPGH via GTA5 lobbies alone. I could afford the $125 for my two tags easily and they made me even richer. Not the same thing as buying virtual skins for hundreds of dollars and never making more than a few bucks each time they are traded.
