Are account checkers safe? not so sure

Hi there,
I was using Pokefarmer bot a few days ago, watching my every move and using the safest settings there are.
My location through the hole time I was botting was Manhattan.

Next, I wanted to move back to my country (17 hrs flight) So I didnt log in for about 2 days, just to make sure.

Couple days later, I tried to log in via Account checker just to see if my account still exists, AND IT WAS FINE.
I logged off and went for a few hours.

I logged in again a few hours later and it was banned.

Therefor, I suspect Pokerfarmer didnt cause my ban, but Account checker did.

When exactly did you use the account checker? That was never mentioned.

I stopped playing for 2 days - the time I was supposed to be on the flight and shat 'till ill get to my real location.

Then I logged again - through Account Checker, and the account still existed.
A few hours later it was banned.
