P.S: Just use trusted MM, like let people give them good reviews. But MM still have scammed before after like 1 year so you never know. GL
What happens if one of the new "OMM" scams me in a trade, does MPGH replace it? or do they just get banned and victim just loses whatever?
EDIT:
Need this answer, because i'm interested in using OMM for $200 trades.

The selection for an Official Middleman is done through multiple checks of which a background check is one of them.
People who have scammed in the past are not eligible to become a Middleman.
The purpose of having an Official Middleman is to reduce the risks in your trading to a minimal.
Unfortunately, there were cases in the past where Middleman have scammed users.
In regards to compensation, that would be up to the discretion of the Administrators.
The punishment, however, for the scammer would be a permanent ban.
Middleman are supposed to be trusted, but as I always say "trade at your own discretion".
Avoid imposters and trade safely!
The current Middleman trading assistance has been temporarily suspended, but rumours have been going out that it will be back soon.

You get scammed and they get banned. I think the system needs to be revamped but it never will. Anyone who is MM should have to put a down payment down in BTC to Dave/Arun/Liz. Whatever amount they put down is the maximum they are allowed to MM for. If they scam, the victims get the proceeds of this down payment. If they resign or get demoted (for something other then scamming), they get their down payment back. This is by far the safest system for middlemen we can have, but I doubt it will ever be implemented. Ultimately if you're doing a large trade ($1,000+), I wouldn't use a middleman. I would try to get a GM+ to middleman the trade and if not I would take it offsite to a site where the middleman have something to lose (even if you have to pay a small fee).

You can never lessen the risk of being scammed to nil, but if you use a trusted OMM, it is lowered significantly.
Just because someone is an OMM doesn't make them 100% trustable, but you're safer by using one than not using one at all.
If an OMM did want to scam, they'd most likely go for a massive trade rather than a small one. Stick to buying things with small amounts of money on here and you should be safe as long as you use common sense.

Dang so much replies, i doubt any GM+ would have time to even care to Middlemen tbh, i would use someone like Psychotic
Unofficial Middleman is prohibited. Unless the Global Moderator is part of the Middleman group, then they aren't allowed to assist your trade.
As I said people that been MM for long time before have scammed and that will also apply to psychotic. Just make sure you can take the loss before you make the deal. Like if it's your last amount of money, don't do the trade -_-

P.S: I just want to make sure to say that it is POSSIBLE that doesn't mean they WILL scam. It' just very very hard to trust people in real life and 10x harder online. so yeah
