PZUpdater
A tool for parsing ROTMG XML files.

The XML files are:
  • complete gamedata.xml
  • items.xml
  • tiles.xml
  • packets.xml
  • objects.xml
  • enemies.xml


These XML files are used by various programs such as KRelay.

Compatibility:
This program should work on Windows, Linux, and Mac.
On Linux/Mac, you need to have installed "dmd" - the D compiler - because of RABCDAsm.
On Linux/Mac, you should run the program using mono (like in the video).


NB: This program has only been tested on linux but it should work.

How does one use these? the current K Relay I'm using has none of these files

These XML files in the newer KRelay versions are embedded within the program. The developers who work on KRelay handle that for you so you don't have to worry about it.

Thing is, I like having my XML files external and a lot of stuff I have needs external XML files. The other client updaters seem to be broken (or at the very least, don't work on linux). I thought this might be of use to someone so I released it here.

You're a Godsend for those of us that like using the old K-Relay but are lazy.

I also use the new one, but sometimes one feels more functional than the other (specific plugins)

How is this going to aloud you to use the old k really as i am unable to use the new versions?

You can very much still use the old KRelay versions. Until (relatively) recently, I used to still use KRelay v1.1. You just have to make sure you keep up-to-date with the important changes like adding extra fields in packets and adding new packets (and update the XMLs, which is what this is for).

If you don't know how to use the XML files, don't worry - you probably need to worry about it.

But if anyone does need these XMLs, however, this tool might be helpful.

Yes you do have to wait but the devs are usually pretty fast. Maybe this tool will make it faster?

Approved. This file does connect to the web and downloads the new XMLs, however they are downloaded from a safe location on Realmeye.
