Hi there
I've built a budget PC and finally got some budget..
Specs:
Intel i5-6400
16GB RAM
2TB HDD + 240GB SSD
STRIX GTX960 2GB
I've been thinking about upgrading my GPU and CPU..
I don't know if it's worth upgrading the i5-6400 to a i5-6600K or the GTX960 to a GTX1070 min..
I feel that the GPU is holding me back from playing real 1080p 60fps on Ultra settings..
What do you think? Should I upgrade anything?
First of all, what games do you play? It's all well saying you want Ultra @ 1080p 60fps, but if you only play Overwatch or CS:GO, then you don't really need to upgrade.
Also, what exactly is your budget?

In which case, if you're dissatisfied with the performance, I'd suggest getting a 1070. Very good price for the performance at the moment, but you might want to see what AMD announces regarding the RX 490.
Other than that, I would not advice buying a new CPU, the overclockability and slight (literally a few fps) is not worth it. At least wait until Intel released Kaby Lake before you upgrade that, and even then I wouldn't upgrade it. It'll still be a very small performance bump.
You should upgrade to 1070, especially if you have a 1440p monitor. If you just have a 1080p monitor then you should still see a good difference in larger games like GTA.
Just get a new GPU, if you want something faster, upgrade your CPU aswell.
