fuck steam...

I just lost all my content. fcking retards, gotto download everything again...

steam did an auto update, and it screwed me over. Due to my crappy antivirus that blocks steams install (so the update went wrong...), i had to reinstall steam (wich needed an uninstall first). omfg my crap inet connection, wish i still lived in maastricht, had a super mega uber highspeed connection there, crap 5mb connection at home .............................. im fucking pissed,........................................... ...........

i dont know does this have anything to do with it,but i was playing and it said that i was offline,but i wasn't.When i restarted steam,all of my friends are games were gone >.> now what do I do?

The same kind of thing happened to me. I came home, opened Modern Warfare 2, and all my steam friends were gone. I restarted my computer, Steam updated, and then all my friends magically came back.

After a few games, steam went offline and said "steam servers are offline for routine maintenence." A few minutes later it came back. Ive seen it do this before, but ive never seen steam say i have no friends since I first installed the game.

Chances are, since steam updated, there's probably going to be a new patch soon.

MW2 doesnt work for me atm.. Gets stuck at connecting to IWNet .....

They should give up, they made so many gaps in their system. They will never, ever get all the hackers away. It will probably only increase this way.

if you get probleme connecting to IWnet, just right click on your shortcut, click properties, go in shortcut and add at the end of the C:\Program Files\Steam\

-tcp => this is helping to lunch tcp before udp so helping for connection problem

it should look like "C:\Program Files\Steam\" -tcp"
