Cracking Rue21/Kohls & other Giftcards?

Random question but I can't find anywhere on this.
How do people crack giftcards such as Rue21 Kohls and more?

Someone on another forum I'm on was selling giftcards of any amount for 5% of whatever the price is, I noticed here a lot of other people are doing it as well so it's something such as a bot or crack programme that i don't know.

The person on the forums said it was a bot (tho I don't believe them)

Lol well you are a noob and clearly just came here to get free money. Of there was a working method to get free cards by activating them yourself, nobody would share it publicly unless they were an idiot.

Gift cards need to be activated with the retailer before they can be used.

Christ on a bike, people take everything to heart these days clearly.

As I said, there was apparently a bot, this person would sell giftcards on any amount for 5% of the giftcard price. He got them on the spot just like that and people used the giftcards and managed to buy quite the thing with no problems. Hence the question(s)

Buy a CC dump, use them to buy gift cards and sell them for cheap. Don't get busted by the FBI.

So is that what everyone else is doing on here?
I've seen people selling Rue21, Kahlos etc giftcards on here. The exact same as he does, for the same kinda thing (5% or something along the lines of the giftcard amount)

Not stolen, just use scripts to spam gift card codes. Rue use to be you just do in cart, then every 3 change IP or buy captchas.

Definitely stolen if that's how you get them, someone paid to get activated and it won't be usable for them.
Interesting method though, don't all gift cards need a pin in the back to use it online? All the ones I've used online did at least.

I guess you're correct, if you look at it that way. Usually the person who bought it calls the company and can complain, thus getting the gift card amount restored but on a different card. As for the pins not all companies use pins, you'd be surprised at how many don't use pins.

Rue21 NOW require a pin, he could do this with ones that didn't but now because Rue21 require a pin he says he "can't do it" (someone snitched on Rue21 by the way lol)
When questioning upon him on carding, he said this
"Answer me this one question. Does rue21 still accept giftcards? Yes right? Why can't I still provide them? They require a pin. If I carded then I would be able to get gift cards with pins easily, correct?"

Can someone explain to me how this is? Like, I'm almost certain they're carded or something along the lines. Reason for this as he refused to give a screenshot for the "bot" multiple times.

I'm still fairly new to these understanding on the "pins" thing, so sorry If It's annoying having to explain. However this is really helpful in many ways so I do thank you
