As far as I know(correct me if I'm wrong guys) even if you buy For Honor from steam it's not actually a steam game, it's still gonna be a uplay game.
The best you can do is link your uplay account with your steam account, but all that means is that steam is gonna launch uplay which will then launch the game...

Hope that info helps, anyway I'm currently selling my uplay account which contains the deluxe edition of For Honor for $40 if you're interested.
