Quick question

So, I've gotten a semi-private DayZ hack from a former mutual friend who proceeded to attempt to scam me and some fellow buyers. He left the .exe loader on my PC which contains the hack, but the hack pings a server for authentication. Would it be allowed to ask for help in disassembling and/or making the hack work for all of us? I wasn't sure about the ethics of it so I figure I would ask before posting it or going any further.
