I just want to know what amount of eliminations would be considered a good amount of eliminations (for DPS) per each round and for the entire game. Not average, but good.
Been playing roadhog lately, getting around high 30-48 eliminations per game, and 80% of the time I'm getting gold eliminations, other 15% silver and 5% nothing. I think I've been matching with extremely shit DPS.
A good point in saying it doesn't really matter much, however your eliminations per game varies based on gamemode. Arcade, I'd say low 20-30s and competitive low 60s ish. It is really dependant on a lot of variables (who you're using, who you switched to, comp etc.) so it really is just a never changing variable.
The medal system needs to be removed. If you just sneeze on someone, and they die from someone else, you get an elim. So, say you poked everyone, everytime but that is literally all you do, why does gold matter? It doesn't. The higher the damage doesn't either.. Especially if they have a Rein and you're just unloading every mag into his shield. There are way too many factors that come into play when it comes to "am I doing good". You can have all the damage, all the elims, and all the everything in the world. But, if you're doing a fuck ton of damage, and they don't die, you are giving the healers free ult charge.
You should be looking at it like this: "Am I doing my job?". If you're a 76, and they have a pharah, are you killing that Pharah or is said person not, and pharah is a problem because he is not killing her. More often than not, a hitscan will say "but i'm gold dmg and elims", nigga.. I don't give a fuck if you are. If that pharah is not dying pls let me have 76. It's not 76's job alone to kill her though. Especially if she has a pocket mercy, chances are you will not kill her, unless you have other people helping you, or a zen for ******* even. Each role has their own "job".
