Recent patch~is this the end for now?

I WAS having a lot of fun upgrading my guns through modding, but for some reason, my game keeps crashing now.
I successfully changed my M60, RPK, and MK.48, but for some reason, Combat Arms has begun crashing on me. It hates my model changes apparently, because when I went back and put the original base files in, the game would let me play. I don't get it...does this have something to do with the recent patch? Has Combat Arms finally become 'smart?'...or am I doing something wrong here?

Anyone experiencing the same problem?

[EDIT] I think I found the problem. I owned those guns at the time, and apparently the engine picked up on the fact the guns had been modified. Apparently, you have to modify them when you don't have them in your possession. I did a little troubleshooting and found I could modify the RPK with no crash problems.

[EDIT2] Scratch that, I'm still having problems. It gets pissed at me again after I modify the M60. I'm wondering if I somehow got my files mixed up.

[EDIT3] Yeah, the M60 definitely seems to be the root of my problems. All the other ones work except that one.

its not mods

i thought it was, but i replaced all my rez files and it still crashed, i found it was just the hacks i was running

but sometimes even when i dont run hacks, it still crashes but its rare

got same problem here.
i tough it were the mods, so I took my backups and it still crashed.

then i closed my hack >.< and it worked again, with all my mods

so the reason was the hack.

happened to me a few times, also happens if you don't compile the rez properly(rare thou)

mods dont make ca slower or faster, there are some server lagger hacker out there, thats why :S

I don't know, the game works when I replaced the modded files with the original ones. CA will let me in the lobby and all that, but when it begins to load the level, the game will crash.
It has to have something to do with the models, due to the game crashing as soon as the textures and models begin to load. I was only assuming this had something to do with the patch because this only started happening after the patch. The mods would load just fine before that.

I'm not running any hacks either, just modded files. The textures seem to be fine, it's just when I change the models.

lol, maybe try to re-install, or you got a virus, or chek dust on your graphic card... may fuck your pc, all games...

I might mention also that I haven't modified the engine in any way. I also downloaded CA V37 to try and fix the problem, but I'm still getting this issue. It only happens when I replace the original models with the modded ones. I think maybe the problem lies in WHICH guns I'm trying to convert. I'm only doing simple upgrades like M60 to M60E4 Steel, that sort of thing.

When you hack the game, you modify the engine.exe file. I assumed that's what you meant.
