Well, it's pretty much hard to do it. You need to sound actually believable, and have some balls (so that you don't stutter during the call, or sound nervous/fake). I'd recommend you just get a fucking cable, it ain't much of a big deal. I wonder why didn't Microsoft allow us to transfer data through a USB. Sucky.

They didnt let us because if we used a usb then anyone could get data from online and put it into their USB and have whatever they want

i have got a free data transfer cable and you get it by

calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX

then when the customer support comes tell them that you need a data transfer kit because your friend gave you a 120gb hard drive as a gift and tell them it didnt come with a cable if they ask. they will ask you for a serial code on the back of your xbox give it to them and they will want your info like where you live and phone number and etc.
