Steam/BO3 profile name color?

hello im wondering how the people get there bo3 in game name to a different color? ive seen this once but if you go to zombies leader boards most of them have red names and such. how can we do this and is it bannable? thanks for reading?

i have done this before and its not bannable, its i would like to say an secret easter egg. To do this you just add this symbol and a number
symbol: ^ (shift+6)
numbers:
^1 = Red
^2 = Green
^3 = Yellow
^4 = Blue
^5 = Light Blue
^6 = Pink
^7 = White
^8 = Grey
^9 = Black
