The Day...
I wish that with my every breath, my dreams would take flight,
Transverse the dark silhouettes of doubt, and go higher in the moonlight sky.
Everyone has a moment where they feel their soul melt and forget what is smart,
My time came when he held me strongly next to his heart,
The beat so distinct, my own personal song, being raised through to heaven just for me.
Now weary and gaining in time, I see in front of me, what as a little girl I dreamt to be.
The white silk, wrapped around me, symbolize the pure thoughts and emotions of my heart and his,
the flowing veil, a reminder of all that loved me, and the sweet moments that lead to this.
I remember the tender things, the loving memories, this is home for me.
Now walking slowly, everything seems to fade, its just us, no place I rather be.
He takes my hand, I take his heart, and together, we take soar,
Tied with ribbons made of words, my life, my soul, bound to his forevermore.
