Creating A Cheat For Unturned

So im new to creating cheats, and C#, and ive been looking at a couple sources for cheats, and ive watched a video or 2 on them, but i cant seem to get them to work. Ive tried making my own console app, and ofc that didnt work, then i tried making my own .dll which when injected didnt do anything, and im just wondering where do i start? Is there a tut ive missed, or am i at a loss?

Merge your dll with one of the game dll's and then call it
