Even though you dont like them, something is truly better than nothing....I put Microsoft Security Essentials on all my client's PC's....Yes its Microsoft, and yes it isnt the best...but its free and does a decent job ( better than norton and mcafail ) while maintaining a smaller resource footprint.. Give it a shot, what have you got to lose?

He is not using any anti virus software even tho he downloads a lot. As I said before not having a AV when downloading a lot especially hacks & stuff is like suiciding. You EASILY get keyloggers. So...

hmmmmmm, all this can be verified by IP logs and verifying the if the attachment was edited by using the mod check edit
feature.

Unless I am missing something. So in a line events.

Check and see if there was an edit to the attachments.
If there was, what time. Compare time to IP log for that user..

If the "offenders" Ip and Time frame match users we know it was the OP's original account, if not, then it's something to discern over
