Cancelling credit card with Flex Pay

For example, if i were to buy an item that's 1000$ using flex pay with 10 different payments using my credit card
What would happen if i cancel my card and use a different name for my billing address?
They won't be able to charge my card and won't be able to bill my address since i use a different name.

Does this work? or am i missing something

If the information doesn't all match, the FlexPay won't go through because usually the websites do a credit check when doing the payment plans
