If it’s a physical item and the buyer claims you haven’t delivered it, you can add the shipment tracking info and you’ll win. If you’ve delivered it in person and buyer claims you haven’t delivered it, you’ll lose. If the buyer claims your item isn’t as advertised of is broken, you’ll lose. If it’s a digital item and you delivered it through eBay messages or email, you’re fucked.

I've been there before, I'm 100% positive that person is scamming you. His excuse is like the number 1 method to scam digital products on eBay. The chances of you winning is literally 1%. Paypal and eBay do not support digital product cases unless it's an gift card from authorized seller. So most of the time will side with the buyer no matter what when it comes to digital product cases. Only thing I got to say is try your best and you might succeed.

Aaaand, the 1% happened. I responded to the case and said that I would provide a full refund even though I delivered the product through eBay messages. I also said that I sent the buyer a message about the case but he didn’t respond and the product I delivered was used by him/her. After about a week, I saw the full amount added to my account and there was nothing on the transaction history. I went to check the case, but it wasn’t there. It ended and I won!

So, it turned I had to list my keys in the classified section. This way, no one can open a case against me. That one was my fault. Good thing other buyers don't know that

All you have to do is send a piece of paper with the code on it if they open a claim, saved myself 200 dollars.

Oh never mind, I mistaken your case with a charge back with CC through PayPal. If he did charge back with CC PayPal will usually put your money back then later on the bank will force to take it and PayPal will take it from you again. So I guess the buyer failed to scam you, probably some inexperienced scammer.
