When buying a laptop .. remember to go for the one with better cooling.
I made the mistake of getting an MSI GE70
The Laptop has a decent gaming performance but the cooling is complete sh*t.

I would recommend any Asus ROG Gaming laptop.. They're not that expensive and the cooling is better than most.

A good cooling system prevents your PC parts' temperatures from going overboard and the parts themselves getting damaged due to it, even when on full load. Another thing, when it comes to a laptop, as in your case, the cooling system put in place doesn't really mean much, PC part overclocking-wise, since it'd be pointless to overclock any laptop overclockable component at the end of the day, (refer back to Symmetrical's post to see why). However, if you're actually looking to build or just buy an already built desktop computer which includes, for example, an overclockable CPU along with it, the cooling system selected for it really means a lot since depending on whether it's a good or bad one, more headroom can be created to overlock the CPU and whatnot. Hope I clarified you about your doubt.

An SSD is pretty nice on a laptop, I used to have one in my old laptop and boot times would be 5-10 seconds depending on how much shit you got loaded on there
