Reason for ban [more towards staff]

I think it should be way more easier to view why a user is banned and this is a possible way:
when you hover over someones "BANNED" it should have a little statement or a sentence of why ban was placed.

I honestly think that it should be easily accessible instead of us having to investigate & look through the ban requests.

Should this be a thing? why isn't it a thing?

This isn't a bad idea, however we have certain restrictions on what we can do with vBulletin. Without editing the code base or building a plugin for this, it would be difficult.

Yes it is 4.2.3 but I guess most of the version upgrades for vB are just security patches and it should work otherwise @Dave84311 can just modify it a bit? Mostly plugin compatibility issues are fixed by updating the version in the info return array.

i always thought vb rebuilt everything every major update, or atleast change A LOT of the inner-workings. i could be wrong. (they sell each vb major version separated, or atleast they used to)

and you'll probably get some php compatibility issues.

Can banned users still have the bios under their names? If so are you able to change that to say what the reason was.

thousands of people get banned, that would be the biggest pain in the ass. And wouldn't work with people who are already banned.

Well, we can start now... not we but you guys the staff team, Mod have to go through ModCP to ban someone anyway, it wouldn’t be that hard to go to their profile and leave a reason of ban since Middleman/MP Minion will tag the user with the reason for the ban. and I know it’s not only MP, but it wouldn’t require that much of work if the staff start doing now

We'd have to post the VM before banning.

Would be easier to make a plugin which automatically does that so we don't have to do an extra step in banning.

After all, lots of accounts get banned each day.
