How to get rid of I.P band

go to start > go to the run... > a box should pop up > type in ipconfig /release > itll drop ur internet> click on the local area connection > repair

This is ancient and doesn't work for lots of people. (myself included) First off, wouldn't you need a Dynamic IP for this to work? If it was static, when you re-connect, wouldn't your IP be the same?

This isn't really related, but it took me about a month to find the Run command on Vista. I never look in accessories <__<
