It is most definitely NOT rewriting entirely. A program becoming detected is the perfect opportunity for the developer to add new features/fix bugs/improve performance in my opinion. However, junk code can also do the trick.
I was wondering, how would a developer update his hack to no longer be detected? I've seen a few hacks around here that have had multiple releases since the last one was VAC detected. What does the developer himself do? Rewrite entirely? Change around methods to make them do things in a different, roundabout way? Junk code? I guess all of these would work, but is there a preferred or different way of doing it normally? Thanks!
