Savegame file is not valid :-( Save game Editor Error

SOLVED!
It wasn't working cause I modified my .pak file for dlc and exclusives. For some reason that interferes with CloudExtractor. So I just ended up using the original pak file while I wanted to edit my save, then put my modified pak file back once I was done. Hopefully it helps!

So I for some reason keep getting an error that says "Savegame file is not valid :- (" when trying to load my save into CloudEditor. Anyone by chance know the problem?

You have uploaded an faulty savedgame. It happend to me aswell, I had an typo in the savedfile. Look of an wrongly typed word and correct it.

How do I find a random typo because I think I have this error too but idk where to look

Actually found the problem. It seems if you add exclusives and dlcs it causes problems with the save game editor. Idk why but I just use the default pak file when messing with it.

Well this is one reason why you should take a copy of your savefile..
If you have a copy, just replace it. If you dont have a copy, look through the changes you made last time you edited before the error.

How do you use the default pak file

Before modifying the pak file, I literally just copied it into a backup just incase. If you didn't. Just copy your current pak file to somewhere else, right click on dbd on steam>local files>verify integrity of game files. It is 5gbs so it might take a bit. Then after it has downloaded. Modify the things you want with cloud extractor and editor. Once finished just put the pak file with the dlc/exclusives unlocked back. Worked for me.

Bro all you gotta do is NOT WEARING exlusives(golden feng, donkey jacket,...) just use the common clothes on every character.

got same error but i forgot that i was deleted my local data so i'm re-enabled and disabled it again
