well i would say google and amazon are completly diffrent one makes phones(pixels) software(android) and some other things Amazon is mainly a delivery company

Self driving car
Google Fi (cell phone service)
Google Fiber (internet provider)
AlphaGo (AI)
Google Ballon (free wifi for world)
Google cardboard (cheap VR)
Calico (Anti aging)
Project Soli (human machine integration)
Not to mention google cloud, genomics, Chromebook, google lift spoon and many smaller projects
Amazon:
Aws
Drones
Echo (smart home electronics)
3D tablet withou 3D glasses
Digital stylus
Battery that last 2 years (for Fire/Kindle)
I know AWS is many technologies combined, but it is hard to get overlapping customers. Echo is promising. Drones will take over multiple industries starting with delivery.
But if you want to know more about these companies activities then take a look at datapo website. If I have to choose where to work I will choose Google without any doubts.
