The merge glitch gives you the item from the merge shop without taking the materials required.
First - you need to have the required materials to actually buy the item.
Second - you have to click buy - then ctrl W if on browser - or alt f4 if on grimoire right after clicking buy.
Third - Login and check to see if you have the item in your inventory with the materials still there. If no item but still got mats - you were too quick on closing - if you have item but no mats - you were too slow in closing. I use a script to do it for me - theres also a plugin on this site for grimoire that will log out after buying something, though I think that's not working atm due to the logout feature not working properly on grimoire 3.8.

That thread uses the first very version I made of the plugin so it won't load anymore (Kinda a mistake I made when updating the plugin as I changed the name of the assembly).

To be able to load the merge version you will need to open the file with a text editor like notepad and use the replace function (Ctrl+H).
Use it to replace the lines that say:
"$type": "Follower_Plugin.MergeGlitch+CmdMergeGlitch, Merge_Glitch"
with
"$type": "Follower_Plugin.MergeGlitch+CmdMergeGlitch, Merge&Quest_Glitch"
Just use the replace all option.

Only takes 15 seconds to do it, I messaged him so that he could change it a long time ago but he isn't active anymore.

Also I think the never fixed the problem with the name of the items being wrong, so you might need to change that in the commands.

Sometimes AE uses ’ instead of the ' that you used.
I checked, and these are the correct item names:

Necrotic Sword’s Hilt
Necrotic Sword’s Blade
Necrotic Sword’s Aura
