I am back from being investigated and detained for social engineering

Hey, all. Sorry if formatting is weird, I have no computer and I am typing this on the mobile website that Dave put a lot of time and effort into.

About three months ago, I had my computers and my phones seized from me in a warranted police raid. I had many evidence of mail and warranty fraud found in my emails and documents on my computer and my phone. They've found it all, including companies like Google, Microsoft, etcetera..

I've had to truthfully say in court what items I had in my home that were not obtained ethnically or morally. These items such as monitors, computers & phones came up to a total of over $7000. I was sentenced to detention and had my devices taken away and permanently seized.

I live in a small town. It's pretty easy to track somebody down if they've done something wrong. They had obtained a warrant to investigate my home regarding a "fraud ring." At that time, I was openly and uncautiously selling services for Logitech and Fitbit. They had found out by an anonymous tip, probably by Fitbit, as NordVPN wasn't actually encrypting my IP.

Now I'm back, and I got a lot to catch up on.

Damn man, that sucks. There's alot of clueless kids on here who just rape the shit out of services and milk exploits, examples include pixel etc, although I agree some people would do it super anonymously but there's always those people who send to real address, and use real IP. I'm surprised the admins of this site haven't enforced crypto currency only. Why the fuck is PayPal still allowed it's the most unsecure payment method you could possibly use, plus the risk of your shit getting limited. It just doesn't make sense why people use it.

Yes you can, it's called a Tomato router, well not a router as such, just software which allows you to route a VPN directly through it, rather than connecting to a VPN on each of your devices. I'm personally on a VPN 24/7, you coming off and on VPN gives law enforcement/ISP's time frames, they just need probable cause to get a warrant, not solid evidence.

It was probably microsoft. Every SEing group I've ever been in tells me to stay the fuck away from it. This is why you shouldn't SE big ass companies like Google and Microsoft because it won't be hard for them to find you if they actually wanted to. Fitbit/Logitech Has been raped for a long time and I haven't heard of anything regarding it ever, would be unlikely it was of those.

Encrypt your phone and any hard drive you have.
Ensure your VPN is working using Wireshark and sites like https://ipleak.net.
Encrypting an IP isn't a thing, you could have had an IP leak or they could have completely circumvented needing your IP with other information you shared intentionally or not.

That sucks a lot, you should do everything with a virtual box, a vpn on your computer and a proxy/vpn on the VM, with CCleaner.., good luck for everything, thats hard to live I Guess.
