You learn it by yourself or at the University?
The German University most teaching Python or the Cancer of Computers, also known as Java.
If you learn there really C++ coding, it's in any case a really good thing.
However, my oppinion is, if you understood and can write programs in C then you can automatlicly code in every other language aswell, but it doesn't works upsidedown. So C++ is the best base you can have to get a future Job as Programmer, yes.

It's though to master but its definitely worth learning.

Also know that once you master C++ other languages will come as cake.

    Good luck with your studies.

C++ becomes less popular as other JIT-compiled/interpreted languages are more efficient for simple tasks. However, if you want to stay close to the hardware C++ is a very good language. You'll surely find a job as (mentioned above) C++ developers can easily learn languages which have a similar syntax (JS, Java, C#) but more functionality implemented in their frameworks. In the end it comes down to preference, developers are what everyone is looking for. Even a decent level in one language and some curiosity for new languages can get you most jobs.

I would say yes, there are plenty of jobs out there and the industry is still growing.
I studied C++ for several years at university and it was great, luckily i did well enough to be offered jobs at the end of it.

C++ jobs will always be available because its a good and popular language to use, its fast and efficient and is used in so much today.

However, there are plenty of jobs for other languages as well, but as previously mentioned, if you learn C++ you will have a brilliant understanding of programming concepts that most other languages will seem much simpler and easy (obviously there are harder but you only need to learn them by choice, assembly etc).

Learning one language wont secure you a job, learn a bunch and maybe do Computer Science. Might get you somewhere.

Yes, C++ dominates the software engineering environment these days.

Note though that it is Engineering at its core, to maximise your chances of a job at the end you should learn the fundamentals of a particular discipline. For example, fundamentals of electronics, radar and mathematics will put you well on your way to a great career in the Military/Defence industry.
