The Dreaded GUID Ban

I like to play some semi-dead FPS game and got GUID banned for "spamming" weapons. I am not completely ignorant of GUID bans as I can defeat them with VMs, but VMs are very taxing on my computer's performance. So is there another way to spoof or change my GUID? The ban system is not PB or any other major anti cheat program but I assume the GUID detection methods are similar. Any assistance with this will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I've narrowed down that it is not the CD key and mainly hardware based. I know how to check my hardware GUIDs but not how to change/spoof them. Any suggestions?
