I bought a 980 Ti for 180$ and I sold my 970 for 100$.

I just went in about $150 to upgrade my SSD. I think I can hold out a bit longer before upgrading other parts.

August 2018 I bought an Acer i5 on clearance for $250. It had 1TB HDD and 6GB RAM.

Out of the box slow as molasses.

It has a M.2 slot. Purchased a 256GB M.2 NVME for $60.

It has 2 RAM slots but one 4GB could not be removed. I swapped on the removable 2GB for a 16GB for $60. So now it has 20GB RAM.

So for $370 before tax with the upgrades the laptop flies.
