1) i'd recomand MSI, ASUS, they are best in business , i mean i had msi and asus not problem at all, watch reviews from trust worthy guys !
2) I mean GTX 980 Ti require a bit more power then gtx 1080, since are different arhitecture !

A 2070 is basically the same in performace as a 1080, that's not an upgrade worth doing

That is true for classic 2070, however 2070 super has quite some advantages over 1080.

depending on the brand i think especially does with dual fans or triple fans, i am using the standard 1080 with 1 fan, no sound and havent failed in the past 2 years
