Parents shouldn't care.
I'm 18, just turned and just graduated, and I have 6 xbox 360's.
1 is broken, needs to fixed.
3 are original with firmware modifications.
1 is jtagged and still working.
1 is jtagged and banned.

But I might buy another xbox360 soon, when I get enough money..
