How Does One Become Staff Here?

Real question. I have a good laptop now, gonna be active more, etc. Just wondering how one becomes a "Minion" or whatever they're called here to approve releases of mods/hacks/tools, help the community and such?

Not trying to be mean or throw shade (as the kids call it now XD) but I'm asking because I recently talked to someone who has these powers and they literally said "I never really played CA" and it made me think "I've been here for over 5 years, over 90% of my posts are in this section, I'm well known, I've had MANY releases in all the major sections of rez mods, tools, source code and DLL hacks. I'm sure I could be helpful here."

New Minion positions are generally opened when former ones 'retire' or the section grows to a point where it becomes necessary to bring on more help. As far as non-section active minions go, this seems to be common with sections that aren't as popular or games that through time or circumstance become somewhat niche. In many sections it seems that there are quite literally no regular contributors that would apply/be qualified to moderate the section, and in their place come sort of "power-minions" that moderate a great many sections, both active and inactive.

You could definitely talk to Dave, Arun, or any GM or SA and up, but I would assume they have somewhat of a standardized metric for when it's necessary for bringing in new minions; meaning that with the sheer state of inactivity in the CA community it probably wouldn't be deemed necessary. If the discussion is there I could definitely vouch for how instrumental you were to this section in the early days.

You need to be active on MPGH and in a particular section, and then meet the list of requirements. You can apply when minion applications open up in a given section.

As for CA, it will probably never need a new dedicated minion to be selected by applications.
