I actually stopped playing games for a few months and I was inactive almost everywhere, spent some time with my husband and watching anime, now i'm back to playing and god it feels good!

Used to wakeup game all day and go to sleep lol.
Now I can't game for no longer then 2 hours before getting bored.

Most games coming out today are micro or games that just don't interest me. The only game I am so far wanting to play are:

Kingdom Come deliverance
The outer worlds
Doom eternal
Cyberpunk 2077

And even then it feels like a waste of time playing these games. Have any of you started feeling like games are more of a chore than fun?

Games just feel so cookie cutter now, like theres no point in having fun anymore its all grind grind grind and no actually fun mechanics

Same here. I spent too much time in front of the screen... Nowadays videogames almost don't interest me maybe except some older series and thus I don't have the urge and time to dig through indie games. I prefer to spend more time with my family and friends, and my hobbies now are more social and outdoor-related. Funny enough is that I find browsing through hiking cookware on cleverwander much more entertaining than playing videogames.

I blame the popularity of Fortnite on the endless clones and the new live service content model. Basically means companies can release shit that isn't finished and then use customers as beta testers. Also means they can get away with thin content at release and then drip feed stuff back into the game which should have been there in the first place.
