    PC Building - Advice Appreciated

    https://pc.part.picker.com/list/gr3Gcq

This is the build I'm looking to put together. Sorry the link is censored so you will have to remove the "."s.

    New parts:
Ryzen 5 3600 (according to benchmarks, this cpu has the most value/bang for your buck compared to other high end cpus)
CPU Cooler (I chose the cheapest compatible one, should I spend more to get a decent one or does it not really matter?)
Motherboard (Once again choose cheapest one, the "Some AMD B350 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions." stresses me the fuck out tho)

    Old Parts:
Everything else and a 1070 that I couldn't add on.
Dunno the exact power supply off the top of my head and don't want to open up my pc rn.
Memory is Corsair Vengeance series but idk if i have the exact right model in this build, I just know it's ddr4 and i have 16 gb.
Dunno exact 1080 and 1070 models. Only know that they're both EVGA.
Two monitors are just stand ins. The resolution and brands are correct.

Can I get some thoughts on the fan and motherboard specifically (especially the fan)? Also, just remembered Cyber Monday is a thing. Should I try to get deals on Cyber Monday instead of Black Friday? All help is appreciated.

Well, i just put together a R5 3600 and GTX 1070 build last week. i used a b450 mb but it came ready for 3000series. i didn't do any bios update but you need to do it for b350
CPU is currently running smooth and fluid except the quite high temps i'm getting (between 35-40°c idle/ max 90°c on load) but i'm still using the stock cooler and
going to change it some time in the future, also i never managed to reach 100% load even when doing multiple things, game running, chrome,youtube..etc very nice to have 6 cours and 12 threads
since you didn't give the exact parts you have i would extremly recomend a fast RAM for this cpu. 3200mhz is nice

after sometime of using i did some reading and most people are saying it's still early for this CPU, motherboard bioses are still beta and voltage still needs improvements since mine sits at 1.4v on idle. (because of the new 7nm die or something) overall pretty powerful processor

    best of luck there mate

wait for the new 12 and 16 core ryzens, they are supposed to be more affordable and even better than intel flagships going for over 600. everything else is ok as long as you make sure you have the right motherboard size (atx matx etc) and socket compatibility. then search up wattage consumption for each part and get a power adapter that will be able to provide sufficient power.

Agreed. Fans and motherboard will not be such a big problem if you keep up with BIOS update. Keeping your pc cool is your priority when buying fans, so don't think to much about it, you either only get ~10% effective. If you have rgb, buying rgb fans is recommended tho.

The ryzen 5 3600 has included cpu cooler that is good enough to cool and it really is a good cpu for the money. While for motherboard I would recommend getting at least a b450 one, if you want more info on which to choose I always watch Builzoid on Youtube, he has a lot of info and reviews on motherboards.

buy a case with racing stripes, it'll make it run faster

in all seriousness though yeah, looks good but I would def think about a higher end motherboard

i would not recommend that you go for a b350 board
if possible go atleast for a b450 one or better

with the 3600 you wont really run into vrm cooling problems but its still adviseable to get the newer models for improved features

the advantages of a bigger and therefore more expensive cooler are better cooling in general and a lot less noise
the min id recommend is a hyper 212 evo (or similar) if you want silence then a noctua or bequiet cooler will be the way to go for around 50bucks

yeah I would just use the stock cooler, remember that with a Ryzen CPU memory speed is very much a factor. The faster the better
