Not quite sure if iam able to post links here but go to malavida . com and search blackshot and download it, the installation is 670 mb the game client is basically from the year 2011 april version and its the best game client we can work on due to fact that all the files that contain server side important details are in the game itself and the devs realized that later encrypting almost everything but iam certain that we can get it done quicker than any other version of the game we would work on.
Regarding your question about the price, until now it won't cost anything but patience and hardwork because the game is server-client encrypted and needs more reverse engineering to get to know it more unless we get more pro coders here that may save time and effort, from what i've done in terms of disassembling and decompiling i found that blackshot is based on ProudNet, a game engine that you can't possess without a license from the official company but for now i think the only solution is to use ENet its a C++ network library that can emulate proudnet in every way and its open-source, we're going to make the emulator private for sure and can only be accessed by the people in this project whom will be chosen once we collect a full team of experts.

What about server side? i just talked to you about the emulator, if hosting is what you mean then dont worry, blackshot is not a resource based game it won't take much from the vps so it won't cost us that much and i think thats the last thing to worry about because of the amount of support it will get once we announce the launch of our project, i can even afford it myself if thats what it takes.

Just redirecting the ip and port on blackshot.exe argument, and the client connection is done. Just coding a simple launcher to make it more easy, or edit the old launcher to keep it more classic
But first of all is dissect/reclass/retable all the packets, which game uses to communicate with the server, to understand what data is being send/receive to emulate a server that can read/interpret the packets/data. Prepare to fry the brain.
Thats gonna be mind blowing we truly need more people into this and i agree editing the old patcher.exe is the best thing to keep it classic but when it comes to the packets you can just dump them, i know there are so many of them but once you extract all of them you would've saved almost 60% of the work
