and yes, there are, and gta might be susceptible to them, it depends, i haven't tried nor have i seen info on it. gta online is p2p (but with central servers which handle things like money, accounts, etc) which explains why it's so damn easy to cheat right off the bat. i'm fairly certain any sniffing tools can be used like cain and wireshark, just like they can be used in other p2p games.
there's lots of programs for this. i suggest getting at least an understanding of how to use them and how the networking works.

Contrary to all the people complaining about the ethics, something simple to find IP addresses would be a great tool.

I was greived by a modder who was using R* ID to follow me from lobby to lobby (they werent using crew follow, was 100% R* ID with a P2C menu). Every time for about 2 weeks whenever I logged into GTA online there they were, ready to grief me, how ever pointless it was since I was using a menu which blocked everything, or could remove attatched objects but it would stop me joining friends or doing any missions. And the reason why they did this: I tried to take a bounty from them, realised they were in god mode and so moved on. The only way to stop this happening was top set a firewall rule to exclude thier specific IP address. Since GTA is P2P for some one to join they have to send a request to IP to find which lobby to join, no IP access, no joining.

The way to do this is posted on Toms Hardware and is titled How To Open Firewall Ports In Windows 10 (I cant post a link directly here because of rules, but im sure you can find plent other resources detailing the same thing, or google this one easily enough)

Luckily I found a menu which showed IP address, but unfortunately it no longer exists (was a free version of a P2C). It can be done using an IP logging/monitoring software such as wireshark, but its a lengthy and not difficult but wastefull use of time, and you need to encourage as much interaction between the modder and yourself as possible (although mocking how bad someones P2C menu is seems to really annoy them and makes them greif you even harder, which is always foooooking hilarious).

Im sure some people will now call me a hypocrite. yes, I use mods in GTA, I use them to help my friends and even the occasional trolling session. but trolol once and move along, dont follow some one for weeks on end making the game unplayable, it becomes more of a reflection on how sad a life you have.
