ya use pigeon couriers instead
So....... the question here is what are your methods of preventing a Man In The Middle Attack. Obviously you can encrypt your communications through certain apps which may have backdoors for the piggies. So, do you have any methods of preventing such an attack?

https everywhere. use open source encrypted apps? vpn so you tunnel your connection? tor? there are many ways to not let ISP/whoever you think is spying on you what are you really doing.
When you're using a VPN, they just see that, you're using a VPN, but not what you're browsing.
Same with tor.
using VPN + TOR makes hard to your ISP to know what you browse, but easy for your vpn. do you trust your vpn provider?
Encrypted SMS works too.
Invent your own encryption. Combine cryptos. whatever

It actually boils down to the question of, what type of MiM is that. Is someone just trying to read it?(Sniffing,Spoofing) or someone trying to modify the message contents too?(Packet Injections) Or perhaps the attacker is trying to make sure that the message or parts of it never reaches you? (Deauthentication Packet Sending, I am skeptical if this partially falls under MIM though).
